Windows Phone 7 App Building Tools Coming on Sept. 16

Microsoft said on Monday that on September 16, app building tools for Windows phone 7 are coming. The app building tools were available in beta test form for several months and the final developer tools will be available next month. Microsoft also released a 12-hour training course for developers on this.

Microsoft is also launching its new mobile operating system this Autumn to compete with the success of Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Android operating systems.

The success of Windows Phone 7 will depend on the apps, which is what made iPhone and Android’s success. The type and quality of apps for Windows Phone 7 will depend on the mobile application developers which is why Microsoft is making a big deal about the tools.

Here is the Microsoft blog item detailing the new app building tools coming.
