A technological advancement for iPhone and Android mobiles. An app is been developed by Spatial View allowing users to watch glasses-free 3D streoscopic movies and images on thier iPhone and Android mobiles. The Android version is in the development stage, while the iPhone app has already been submitted to the App Store. The 3DeeCentral app for the iPhone will appear first. It is a portal to an online movie store where users will be able to download content designed to work in conjunction with Spatial View’s 3DeeSlide.
In order to se the apps, you’ll need to buy a special clip-on lenticular lens add-on. You’ll still be able to use your touchscreen with the lens on, and it has support for portrait and landscape mode. Screens for the iPhone should cost around $20. There will be versions for the 4, 3G and 3GS.
According to Business Insider, the experience, while not as compelling as watching 3D on a larger screen using glasses, was nonetheless “awesome” and an exciting development for the smartphone segment.

Sounds pretty cool but will users be bothered to fork out an extra $20 for a screen? definitely!
